Trail Conditions

These cold nights sure help with trails setting up nicely. Yesterday John groomed 515 to Fins, 512, 523, 522, 521 Petro, 520 Rae’s Trailer. Kyle groomed 52 North to the headpond and not without incident this trip, on his way back Kyle was doing some plowing along the Taylor Brook Road and the machine got down on one side and while trying to get out he lost a track, not a nice thing to happen on a very cold day but he was very luck as our original Dynamic Duo Ron and Dave happened to be out sledding and came upon the scene and stayed until the machine was back on the trail, Bobby headed out with his truck to help but it was almost all done by the time he got there, he said it must have been shift change at the woods operation because there were 4 or 5 guys helping and not a one could speak english, but they all managed to get the job done, what language issue, according to Ron these folks went way above and beyond to get us back on the trail, just wow, people are great, thank you to all. Kyle arrived back a little late but all turned out good. Alan put the drag back on the 2001 BR180 and groomed 510 and 511, now that all Southside trails have had the drag on them at least once, we will be doing our regular scheduled runs, unless a storm interrupts things. Mark Thursday, January 23rd on your calendar as we are having a fundraiser supper at the Halcomb Moose Barn, you will need to book your tickets in advance 836-2416 or contact Bobby Norton or Paul Barry, roast beef with all the trimmings, tea, coffee and dessert (chocolate cake), 6:30 pm, you can find them at the end of trail 517 or you can drive up, they are located at 1100 Halcomb Road.
