About Us

Miramichi Valley Snowmobile Club is a not-for-profit organization which was incorporated in 1986. From our humble beginnings,
we have grown into one of the region’s leading recreation clubs, with a membership roster of 300... and growing!
We maintain and promote about 500 kilometres of snowmobile trails in the Miramichi area, which includes the former towns
of Newcastle, Chatham, Douglastown, Nelson, etc.
Our trail system also incorporates connections to neighbouring clubs’ trail systems, including Baie Ste. Anne,
Rogersville, Blackville, Neguac and Nepisiguit.

Volunteering is at the very heart of our organization. Virtually all of our work is done by volunteers, including grooming,
signing and maintaining the trails, maintaining and supplying wood to shelters, and keeping our groomers running in tip top
shape. Our trails are continuously being worked on by our three groomers, all of which have a 9 or 10 foot wide drag. They
include:
2001 Bombardier BR180 1998 Tucker Sno-Cat 1998 Lamtrac 4000
As we are a community-based group, we welcome community support in any form, whether it’s through volunteering,
sponsorship, participation or just a hearty pat on the back. Thanks go out to the many local businesses who have generously
donated funds to help keep the club in operation. We also raise funds through the annual White Gold Dance, which is part of
the White Gold Festival held every February in Miramichi.
We hope you enjoy browsing through our website. To those of you who are new to snowmobiling, we encourage you to come
on out and give it a try. Contact us to find out how. To the experienced riders out there, thanks for visiting us at our new home on the web, and we look forward
to seeing you on the trails.
